                    Hi,
I have recently been declined for an A+L Premier account which I was very suprised by. I have no loans, no CCJs, no default payments. I recently applied for, and was accpeted for a mortgage (payments started last month).
I'm having problems accessing my credit history through Experian. I signed up to check it over a year ago (it was good) and now I can't sign up as a new customer but can't access it (forgotten username and password) and when I ask for the reminder email it doesn't come through.
So, bearing in mind I can't currently find out what the problem was, what are the typical ways of improving your credit rating?
I have a couple of savings accounts with nothing in and a few credit cards with nothing on in case of emergencies, is it worth cancelling all of these or will it not make any difference? Is there a way of finding out which lenders still have me listed as a customer?
Any tips would be appreciated.

A couple of £2 statutory credit reports will confirm who you have active (and settled) accounts with, and you'll receive them in 5 working days.
Savings accounts are irrelevant to credit scoring.
Do not cancel all your credit accounts.0

            Experian & Equifax.
Details (which may be hard to find initially due to them wanting to push their monthly subscription service) on their websites.0
