I have a default dated 30 Sept 2003.
I believe that this should come off my Credit Report on 30 Sept 2009.
Does agency remove it automatically and how long does it take before the entry no longer appears.

12 months so yes, it'll come off automatically around the end Sept or first couple of weeks of October. If not, then you write to the CRA and tell them to remove it. If there was a balance outstanding you do not pay it - it is now Statute Barred.

Thanks...but I have been making payments to a debt collection company since that date so I guess Statute Barred is not applicable.0 -

Ahh, no
But will the balance be cleared by the end of Sept or will there be an outstanding amount? Not that it matters, they cannot add the default again - but they can insist you pay or threaten a CCJ which wouldn't be great after waiting for the 6yrs!2010 - year of the troll
