Eon FixOnline 3 vs Eon SaveOnline
Options
The only differences I can see with this is that FixOnline is fixed until December 2010, and there is a higher online discount (12% as opposed to 9.70%).
Given that if I changed to another Eon tariff if prices fell (and not get charged, hopefully), is there any benefit over SaveOnline with FixOnline?
NB: I'm investigating this as my capped rate EnergySaver v4 comes to an end at the end of the montha and I'm being switched to a very high R1, which I don't want to do!
Also, I tried to speak to their customer services today, but all the systems are down.
If I switch online today, do I lose out, or is it best to wait to switch Eon products on 1st October?
Thanks.

Hi Smanfer
Sorry you were unable to talk to us earlier.
The unit prices on both FixOnline 3 and SaveOnline are the same but FixOnline 3 has higher discounts.
FixOnline 3 fixes these prices until December 2010. Therefore, they will not go up or down regardless of what the market does. Prices on SaveOnline, however, will change should our standard rates change.
There are no exit fees on SaveOnline if you change supplier before the end date; whereas Fixonline 3 does have an exit fee.
Prices on Energy Saver 4 will be lower than our current products so I would recommend staying on this until it ends on 1 October. Then change to the product of your choice.
Changing tariff is quick and easy. You can either call us or change yourself through our website. The switch will be done immediately.
The best way to see the full picture is to pop your usage on to one of the comparison sites.
Just a heads up; if you decide to change supplier please be aware that we don't give discount on the final bill. Therefore, a switch needs to be timed to lessen the impact of this.
Hope this helps. Give me a shout if you need any more info. Will be glad to assist.

Thanks Malc, I would like to stay with Eon if possible, as I have had good customer service. Unfortunately, your email hasn't really told me anything I didn't already know!
Anyone got a crystal ball?!0
