Further iPod advice required please ...

Having now got an iPod Classic, I have tried to download podcasts to iTunes for everyday programmes like Chris Evans Drivetime, Wogan's morning show, Justin Lee Colins and Steve Wright in the Afternoon.

However, it only downloaded the first one of each, on 18th September and no further podcasts have been added since. I have got them sorted to update daily, but they don't. Only the Justin Lee Collins is showing two podcasts, the others only the original one.

I have tried unsubscribing, deleting, and then subscribing again, but to no avail.

Anyone got any ideas?

A further thought - I have just been on the BBC website for radio podcasts, which states that they are downloaded weekly - I guess that could be the reason why I cannot update on a daily basis, which is what I had assumed I could do ...

Sounds like that might be the reason. It does sound like a peculiar decision on the BBC's behalf though...

Plugged my iPod in this morning and it has downloaded another one of each of the podcasts I requested.

It would seem that a podcast is not a daily half hour of the chat on the show as I had assumed, but a half hour weekly chat from the shows of that particular week.

Being very new to all of this I am learning as I go ...

I just want to pick up on that line. It's the podcasts you've chosen that are not daily. I'm sure if you go into the itunes store, and at the top, click on podcasts, you can find some that are daily.
