Contacts whilst in Afghanistan

One of my friends is shortly to deploy to Afghanistan. He has not been told of the BFPO number for me to send Blueys to. Are there multiple BFPO's in Afghanistan or just the one? If the one, what is the correct one to use please?

I would wait till he is there, will probably give you the correct address.

Some locations have specific BFPO numbers and others are served by the 'general' one for that theatre. Agree with A_O that wait til they contact you, as in the past I have been given a address to use before deploying and then on arrival finding it had changed !! Saves messing about and possibly loosing mail.

Agree with the other two posters, he should be able to tell you the address once he's out there.

However so long as the bluey has your friends Service number on it, it should find its way to him, probably take a bit longer then if there was a BFPO aswell, but it would get there eventually!

There are 2 main BFPO number for Afghanistan

BFPO 772 for KAF

BFPO 792 for Bastion AND all FOBs

everother weird BFPO will go to Bastion sorting office (if you can call it that) lol
