Been with BG for 3 years on Homecare 200, rang them out once in the first year. Just got the renewal price for next year. £316 - £26 a year. I know prices have gone up but that pretty expensive or am I wrong?

Cheers

    Hi pda,

I am on the same plan and renewed in August.

Try submitting a request for a new quote through the website.

I just did this and it came up at £17 which is what I am paying at the moment, and I called them out a couple of times last year. If it went up by that much I would cancel asap.

  • Your price is generated from risk based pricing so depending on the make model size and ge of the boiler and also the amount of call out for repairs no one pays the same for homecare unless you are in your first year like everyone has.

The price has a chance to reduce if call outs reduce.

and in response to the post above doing it online with a just cancelled policy it will activate your old policy unless you cancel for 3 months.

The risk based policy is really crap. I've not called them out for nearly 3 year. 2 bed flat with a combi boiler. Where is the discount?

I just rang and she said the best they can do is £20.69 a month

I threatened to cancel and go to a similar service for £16.50 a month, they matched the offer with no quibble.
