Australian national comedy treasures Dame Edna Everage and Sir Les Patterson are going on a nationwide tour for the first time in 28 years, performing ‘Last Night of the Poms’ at the Echo Arena on Friday 2 October.
Dame Edna Everage has been one of the most idolised and admired women in show business for many a year. Famed for her catchphrases such as “Hello Possums” and “Call Me Old Fashioned”, Dame Edna soon became TV’s most loved housewife.
Sharing the bill with the glamorous Dame Edna Everage is Australia’s Number One Cultural Supremo Sir Les Patterson. Sir Les is a politician by trade and has had many important and influential roles for his native country, including ‘Chairman of the Australian Cheese Board’ and ‘Minister Of The Yarts’ (arts) amongst others!
Carl Davis CBE has composed all of the music, and will be conducting the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, who will be the back-drop to this classic parody of the Proms.

This is a duplicate of Zippie's post, or it could be a duplicate of Flickering Ember's post, both timed at 8:16am. Hums the tune to the Twilight Zone, because I think it is quite spooky. I have asked for a merge, and will let the BG decide who to merge with whom.
