Hunt for decent car wiper refills

Hello experts,

Wiper refills are a definate alternative to buying expensive Halfords and Bosch wipers that cost £15+ for a set.

I've been browsing around on eBay, here's Magic Refills (apparently as seen on TV) for £2.75 (inc delivery)
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Universal-windscreen-wiper-blade-20-Magic-Refills_W0QQitemZ8063858823QQcategoryZ9895QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

And on Amazon.com there's JML's wonder wipers for £4.97 + delivery (I have actually seen an advert of these on TV a few months back)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0006H5AHA/203-7830258-4647143

Has anyone had any experience with these blades? They all claim to have silent action, unique blade technology etc. etc.. but is all this true? Would you buy them?
Looking forward to your replies.

Refills seem like a good idea, but they are a pain to try and fit and in my experience never work very well.

I find the wiper blades (not refills but the complete thing) that Wilkinson sell for £1.25 each work just as well as more expensive blades. Even if they do wear out quicker at £2.50 a set I can replace them six times for the price of each Halfords set. And they are cheaper than refills.

top money saving tip dont go to halfauds.

as seen on TV means watchdog.

as mentioned wilkinson and other hardware stores some supermarkets/diy stores have a motoring section or your local one man band garage.

Anyone know where to get a cheap rear wiper for a 1997 Renault Megane? They don't sell the back blades I heard and I just need a replacement rubber part.

    Thanks in advance. :)

Wilkinsons blades have worked fine on my Mondeo and my wife's Corsa over the last few years. When brand new they are as effective and smooth as any other (and I have spent £15 on Bosch before). They don't seem to harden and judder over the screen as some do after a short while.

I think I'll be heading for wilkinsons then, big saving even if I have to pay for parking/bus fares to get there.

Bosch Wipers are much cheaper on eBay. I actually find Bosch wipers excellent but I never pay Halfrauds prices ... usually get a pair on Ebay for about £7

With regards to wiper blades at Wilkinsons, can anyone confirm if they sell in sizes 22" & 20"?, also do they sell ones with a spoiler? Will this make much difference if they dont?
    Many Thanks

Please let me know if anybody comes across a 27-28" blade anywhere. It's for a Toyota Estima :)
    Can I help?
