It's odd. I have had a Boots card since they came in about 20 yrs or so ago.Never once been invited to a Xmas shopping event..even tho I buy all my medicines, cosmetics etc in there..I usually find out about them by accident as my local store is really near my flat.

Also baffles me why i never get any offers for things I actually use on the instore machines... only for optical or photography.. havent used photos for about 10 years and never gone to Boots for optical..

christmas shopping events are open to everyone, its usually on a wednesday night or it was last year and many stores stayed open late and had loads of promotions on like 1000 points WYS £50.

You can check the website for your local store opening times and when the xmas event dates are released they will show up on there.

The main tip was to nip in earlier in the day and print of a ''get 200pts WYS £30'' coupon as when the xmas events start at 5pm they close off the ACM. Some stores would let you use the extra points coupons others wouldnt.

They also had loads of triple points weekends to, so handy if you get a list ready to maximise it all, unlike me last year i was all over the place but this year im organised - so bring it on mr B.

Please correct me if im wrong - it's late and im severly sleep deprived.

I shall be picking up my .com order tommorrow so i shall be grabbing a book.

I have spent a small fortune in boots in the last year and i too only ever seem to get optical or photo vouchers in the ACM and the odd voucher for 17 or boots expert which i have never and will never use.

Oooh hope its 1200 points per £50 - hubby is buying me the laser thingy at £250 and he keeps asking me have I bought it yet (hes petrified they will go out of stock, I'm petrified I'll miss some extra points :-)) !!!

I agree with Reverbe I too never get any mailings offers or coupons.
My friend gets them all the time.....strange

On the link you gave - it states that the first dates will be the 28th and 29th October - it then continues with a link to find out which stores are running the evenings and the dates.. but this does not seem to be working yet as it just takes you to the store locator - I tried entering my local store which I know usually runs them but there is no info on christmas evenings just its normal opening times, list of services etc..

I have had a boots mailing this morning all releated to the xmas events.

Ithas a special inviyte in it - to one on the 29th october.

It also contains loads of extra points coupons like 400pts WYS £40 (the usual not in conjunction with any other points event)

And yes i can confirm its is 1200 points per £50 spend.

they are also doing flu vaccinations there this year for £12.99

Nottingham Victoria Centre is 28th October, The Riverside Nottingham and Westfield Derby are 29th. I do so love to get in there just as all the other shops are closing and get some wine and nibbles before starting to shop -and then I start to worry about getting all my shopping home again.
Haven't picked up my book yet, may venture out later and then sit with a nice cuppa and browse!

The Front Cover stuff is amazing - I had the eye shadow set last year, and love it!
