hi,
I bought my auris t-spirit just over 1 year ago. it was 6 months old. I asked for an ipod connection to be installed by the actual toyota garage that I bought it from.
It seems to work most of the time. But quite a lot of the time, I switch it on through the stereo and the ipod doesnt start palying. nothing works and I have to disconnect it and then reconnect it to get it to start working. Obviously this isnt a good thing when Im driving.
I have taken it back to the garage who have said it is working fine.
It cost just over £200 to install.
Does anyone have any experience of this?
Please please any help would be much appreciated because its driving me crazy!!!!!!

I have a stand alone Itrip. It never disconnects and reconnects automatically I always disconnect it and reconnect every time I stop and start reusing it.
I think its becuase you are not supposed to leave it plugged in all the time, although I maybe wrongMember for a long time only recent poster

I have a similar problem in my Passat - the iPod connection goes to the connection usually used for an external CD changer and the player gets confused. I find that starting the iPod and the switching the player off then on does the trick....0

I'm trying to get a i-pod connection in my Jeep Patriot but finding it hard to find anyone that does them!
But I did however have the i-pod connection armrest in my VW Eos it was brilliant.
Don't take no for an answer go back and insist that they change it.
