0% balance transfers

in Credit cards
Hi,
I am a rate tart and have used the 0% balance transfer offers over the last 18 months. I have saved alot of money doing this! However, today (after checking my credit file) I was refused a 0% card by MBNA. Instead they offered me a "Vanquis card" at 39.9% APR. My credit file says my credit score is Good i.e. above average. So now I'm not sure what to do as the refusal has probably affected my credit score. I have complained but not sure if it will do any good. Any suggestions?

Welcome to MSE!
The credit reference agencies do not record credit card refusals, only credit checks.
Credit checks are viewed as negative only if you attract too many in a short space of time. These drop off your file after 12 months, so the effect is fairly short-livedPeople who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
