Looking a changing over to these as they seem to be the cheapest for our situation. Currently with Scottish Power but we have a pre payment meter for electric. Anyways EDF have said we can go on their prepayment tarriff for 28 days and they will then remove the meter for free and put us on to the dual fuel, which will save over £200 a year.

Can anyone advice on how this will work and how true to their word they are.
Will we have to go on the standard Gas for the 28 days? If so it actually more expensive than what we pay now so if they decide not to take the meter out we will be stuffed with even higher bills.
Will the meter be removed soon after the 28 days or will it be processed etc and take time. Again because we will be paying more.
Hope someone can advice.
Thanks
