Yep, in my case - both me and the starlings, now starting to nest in there, consider the fascias / soffits / bargeboards at the extreme ends of the property are well and truly shot.
Do have a joiner lined up to replace the bad sections. But as the conservatory will likely need a hip letting into the roofline - seems sensible to go the whole hog. I had 17 external doors / 35 windows to paint at the last place - and am now looking for a life without a paint tin in my hand.;)
Ithink DH suggestion of having new ones might reflect the fact that he is getting older and nervous about going up there to paint them
Totally sympathetic. I'm happy as Larry up a ladder, but somehow the soffits / fascias above all the windows at the front of the house gave me the jitters. If they are sound - get someone in every couple of years just to do that? Cheaper all round? If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

Did you live in buckingham palace ?I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -
When they call again, inform them that you will not be signing up to any agreement on that night as you intend to get at least two more quotes before deciding on who is offering the best product and price.

Nope - I think most of the good painting there is on canvas! Bit of a Lowry, I'm afraid, when it comes to the artistic bit. With the emphasis definitely on the 'matchstick men'.;)
The 17 doors / 35 windows were in a rambly old farmhouse with several outbuildings and lots of wet rot.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
