Can't pm you either but I had to say a big thank you

Desperately seeking [STRIKE]Mr. Squiggles,[/STRIKE] car and garage, [STRIKE]surf board, ball, funhouse,[/STRIKE] wheel, slide and pet carrier :rotfl::santa2::think: :snow_laug0 -
Dormouse wrote:AFAIK both are correct. For singular names ending in s, you can use both 's or just an apostophe. Charles' or Charles's, Thomas' or Thomas's; all are correct.
(Personally, I use 's, as it does seem more logical.)
(I can't believe I'm actually interrupting my holiday to log on and post this. Most people would probably think it's very sad
, but I'll miss Droopsnout, who, I'm sure, would not. :hello: )

Thanks for posting, Dormouse - I was teasing Edna, hence the smilies!
It's one of those things that people never quite agree about, but personally I would use apostrophe 's' after singular nouns and 's' apostrophe after plural nouns. Please note that I am not an authority on English grammar! (ESL!!
)
It's very good of you to interrupt your holiday to post. I'm missing Droopsnout's posts too
.
Droopsnout, if you're reading this - what's the weather like in France? Typical grey Bank Holiday weekend here! :beer:0 -
It's the first time that I bet points so I have a few questions.
How do they let us know how many points we've won on Bonnie? Is it by email? And surely we can't lose points on a bet?:smileyhea "here, hare, here" :smileyhea0 -
This is what I am thinking. If you bet anything you have to get your stake back at least. As someone has already put some people will have bet on Dawn or even shabaz. So I am expecting at least 50pts back or I will be asking questions. It is simple betting rules you always get your stake back.0

It has already been posted http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=2171081&postcount=427
I find doing a search for the answer using the 'search this thread' function usually finds previous comps.
The first page (posts 1 & 11) of the thread is a good start as these have a lot of links for comps and general info.
Thanks anyway.0
