Skipping the last leg of a flight.

Seeking a bit of advise on a flight.

Looking at MIA-LHR transfer to LGW->AMS as a one way ticket

This is much cheaper than the MIA->LHR on its own.

Anyone think it will be a problem just missing the second leg?

BA say we have to collect the bags at LHR for the transfer to Gatwick.

  • If it's one way not a problem, if it's the first leg of a return, then don't do it.

It's a common and clever trick, and many of our American friends use such a trick to force through 'fuel dumping', or the dropping of Fuel Surcharges by adding an extra sector they won't use.

Just don't try and claim back your unused tax!

    Thanks,

Found another flight with Virgin one way even cheaper so hopefully it will go through and we won't need to do this.

For one way US->UK you have to try a few of the american consolidation sites they have very different deals.

been using www.bt-store.com but found another one today www.1800flyeurope.com
