Seeking a bit of advise on a flight.
Looking at MIA-LHR transfer to LGW->AMS as a one way ticket
This is much cheaper than the MIA->LHR on its own.
Anyone think it will be a problem just missing the second leg?
BA say we have to collect the bags at LHR for the transfer to Gatwick.

If it's one way not a problem, if it's the first leg of a return, then don't do it.
It's a common and clever trick, and many of our American friends use such a trick to force through 'fuel dumping', or the dropping of Fuel Surcharges by adding an extra sector they won't use.
Just don't try and claim back your unused tax!0 -
Thanks,
Found another flight with Virgin one way even cheaper so hopefully it will go through and we won't need to do this.
For one way US->UK you have to try a few of the american consolidation sites they have very different deals.
been using www.bt-store.com but found another one today www.1800flyeurope.com0
