Barefoot

I've worked on a tallship, and done some martial arts- both of which were done barefoot, and it is incredibly liberating. I was barefoot a lot as a child, too- and have soles like leather now. The other day, my shoes were killing me so I took them off before going into Sainsbugs. The OH was horrified- "But it's a food shop! It's unhygenic!" I pointed out that if he saw anyone eating from the floor, I would put my shoes back on.
My sproglets are barefoot as often as they like.
