Blue Tack Marks?

I guess it sort-of goes under DIY, since I don't fancy forking out to re-paint my room.

I'm a student, my lease for my room this year will be coming to an end.
I've put posters and various things up, with bluetack.
(Pins are worse and sellotape isn't an option as its painted-wallpaper walls).

So, there are 'grease' type marks where the blue-tacks been.

Anyone know a way of getting rid of these.

Aside from painting over them, since i'd have to paint the entire room to make it look "ok".

Why bother removing the marks?
Well if I don't (theres not that many, maybe 20 at most) then I run the risk of loosing my £150 housing deposit :(

There are loads of claimed ways of removing the greasy marks
    Lightler fluid
    Dry cleaning fluid
    Cirtus based stain removers

I have no idea if they work

If Blu Tack has been on a surface for sometime, dab with Citrus based stain remover to soften, then roll off carefully.
Sometimes, Blu Tack can leave a faint oily mark that can be easily removed by using a citrus based stain remover.

Blu Tack even has it's own website here :

The How To use it & remove it page is here :

If you happen to have a bottle of vodka around it's probably worth trying a dab of that.

Hmmm I have plenty of vodka...:D

Its not so much the blue tack itself, just the oily marks, I'll try some citrus based cleaners and see how it goes. I just hope it doesn't make a mess of the wallpaper....which judging by my week so far, it'll probably (somehow) make the house burn down).

Thought you might! I'm a student too. Didn't know if you're in halls or a house but thought if the former you might not have any citrus based cleaners.
