Quidco and Hastings - what do I do

Got a quote from Hastings yesterday and then spotted that Quidco do £55 cash back + £30 petrol voucher for Hastings.
So I got a new quote via Quidco this morning, however for exactly the same info it is coming out at £32 more expensive (assume this is part covering the cash back?)
So which do I go for (btw I know I want to use Hastings - no one else). On the face of it the one via Quidco is a saving of £53 approx but I am worried that this may be rejected as Hastings will link the two quotes (I did use a different e-mail address but apart from that all info is the same - which is has to be!!
Advice please? What would you do.

I found the same problem with Hastings charging more through cashback websites. As long as you clear your cookies and generate a new quote after clicking through quidco itshouldtrack fine.
The only other thing to think about is that the cashback isn't guaranteed and could take a while to come through. So you need to decide if a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush.
Personally, I think I'd go for the cashback0 -
I always do a gocompare etc check using firefox, and look for the best 2 companies (using fake details too, such as neighbours address
, and if they are on quidco, I then use internet explorer - find it tracks more reliably than FF. 0 -
i've always used the comparison sites with my real details. I then clear all cookies, go to the cashback site and run a new quote and buy. It's always worked for me (touch wood!)

Thanks everyone for your replies. As I did my quote on my work computer via Quidco and the other at home should be ok?
Next time I'll remember to look at Quidco before going through cash back sites.:rolleyes:0 -
Just to let you know (in case anyone reads this thread later) that the Quidco £55 tracked fine - phewww!! The petrol voucher will be sent with our policy according to Hastings so all seems to have worked as it should.0
