Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I have a caravan on a site near to a Haven resort. (it doesnt do camping).

If I booked another site cheaply for a camping pitch which includes funworks passes (but didnt go);

1 - would they send me the passes through the post ?
2 - could i use them at the resort near me. ?

thanks

If not can you buy them at the site for a day?

they dont do day passes at Doniford Bay unfortunately.

Just got off the phone, the park shuts 2 nov so the best deal i could get going the proper route is fri 9 oct for 3 nights for 2 adults and 3 kids is £139 inc passes.

When the park reopens in March just before Easter I can get w/e 26 March for the 5 of us for £87.50 then it doubles for Easter dates.

This would be a cracking deal if I actually wanted to stay on site but still a bit expensive just to get the passes.

He did say we could arrive early on the Friday even though the checkin isnt until 4pm we could use the booking letter to access the pool etc and the same on the Monday checkout if 10am but we could stay all day.

Anyone got a cheaper idea please?

have a look on ebay for the passes, bit naughty but sometimes they dont write on them so people sell them on, you could save a fortune.

I saw about ebay but then read they have a different character each week on them, so not sure they would work.

Not always it depends when in the season you go. Mum and I always go twice in a year on holiday somewhere, generally at the start and end of the season. Anyways getting to the point, last October/November we went to Haven Devon cliffs I think and we were given two weekly passes. One had the tiger on and the other the elephant. When questioned the rep just said they use up any old passes just incase next season they are designed diferently. So if you get a 2009 pass on ebay it may work within the 2009 season. But I doubt it would work the following season...
  • hi, i went on a haven holiday last year bought my funwork pass , i thought stupidly that they would be no use or would expire so i threw them in the bin. when i went again last weekend i bought new passes for £14.00 for 2 and guess what same passes as last year and the secuirty guy did not even check them, i purposly held it upside down/ wrong way round never said a word, so i wished i would of bought them on e.bay . i am saving the passes i have for next year . hope this helps

Thanks for your input so far.

I dont want to look stupid and be turned away with kids in car.

On the way to my caravan we pass by another Haven site - one which does do camping, so I was thinking along the lines of booking a pitch for a Friday night, stopping on route and booking in and collecting passes (this would be £8 total inc all the passes) but obviously with no tent for camping, using them Fri night at the Haven near our caravan and again on the saturday.

I would be happier if the passes were sent by post on booking the camping pitch but I guess this doesnt happen - you pick them up on check-in - is this correct?

    Thanks

ps this will only work if all camps use the same passes at the same time I think
  • Hi,

I'm fairly certain that you would collect passes upon arrival, we are owners on a Haven site and our guests collect them on the day they arrive. hope that helps
