VHS Unlock

Have bought some videos from America but cant view them... I know that you can unlock DVDs but can you unlock Video players??

    They are probably NTSC not PAL so if your video and TV don't support it you are up that old familiar creek with no paddle to hand.

    Is this because US videos use NTSC instead of PAL...? I *think* some video players have a switch to select between the two.

    Tele will need to support it too I think. PAL is 50Hz and NTSC is 60.

    Recent televisions and vhs players should play ntsc tapes, check the instructions for your tv/vhs OP and see if they mention playing ntsc tapes.
