Megane alarm!!

2003 megane 1.5 dci,6ok

the alarm system keeps blowing fuses and knocking the dash out,we have taken dash out to see if it has anything to do with it,but keeps blowing the fuse
had the headgasket/cambelt/waterpump just done does anyone know if there is any wiring in that area that may have been damaged to cause a short

Try the crash sensor on the front end, these are a !!!!!! idea and fail. Just need to put a blob of rubber on it to make better contact. That should sort the alarm out...

Under the bonet of every car that has an alarm is a metal or plastic nipple thing that gets pressed when the bonnet is closed. As it's French, it's a !!!!!! design and often needsa blob of something putting onit to make the nipple a bit taller, so it gets pressed in further by the bonnet.
