Wow - thanks laney85 for the rant of fury and assumed thought that I am somehow jeopardising your chances of winning by merely querying the statistical odds of a competition (which I would add you are now hoping weighs in your own favour so lets not pretend that you are selfless in this non-reporting) - you are doing it because you see the £ signs. This is not the point at all and I wish you well in this competition and if it is truly random then you are neither disqualified by not claiming and have as equal a chance as others. No malice is intended towards you or the other 'lucky' ones who have been picked once and who in my personal opnion may have a better chance than others of being re-picked.
I would add that what you mention with McVities is very different - there were obviously flaws in the way the competition structure had been formed which was down to the promoters lack of forethought in creating the way the competition would flow, which created legitimate loopholes which many compers myself and yourself included have legitimately exploited. This is not the same thing at all as having a competition which is open to the masses then potentially (note the use of the word potentially) unfairly weighted in favour of the few, at the competition promoters behest which could (note the use of the word could) be seen as unethical.
If it is a random competition, by virtue of the fact that it is random it should be weighted equally to each competitor (whether drawn and not won or never drawn at all) each time and I am suggesting that there is a possibility (note the use of the word possibility) it isn't.
Let us leave it at that and I will eave it to the ISP to determine if fairplay reigns true on this competition.0 -

And please, before anyone raises and responds with 'well you wouldn't be bothered if you benefitted from it' that's not my point in raising it - my point is that if it is 'out of the ordinary and beyond logical statistics would indicate' that is unfair and therefore should be investigated. Think we are up to at least 6 or 7 but if anyone has kept track please let me know - cheers.
Sorry only just logged on today here what do you mean?

So Ruby,
Let me clarify - do you think that you need to put your name in and get it verified every day throughout the comp rather than one off entry (apologies if I've been so dense that I've not realised this before) - my assumption was it was a comp that you entered at the start and your name would stay in the pot for picking throughout.
Any winners who have put their name in at the start and won days later could perhaps clarify.
CheersIt states that you need to enter the day before to be entered for the following days draw, so in theory it's probable that they have selected a pool of names for the next day before the day starts, and keep randomly picking through those names for the hours of play, so say if you were picked and didn't claim, you have a chance again as your name will go back into that days pool of selected people, hence same names again and again.0
