Have any of the prize winners been contacted about the publicity part yet? Or any compers who've had to do that before for other competitions? I'm interested to see how that works cos it kinda puts me off entering competitions - don't really want my details and photo splashed about in public.

And for this one I'm not too sure how to play (tactically speaking) since you can only win one prize for the whole competition, and it's not really worth claiming less than £100 IMO.

I won but never contacted about publicity - it rarely happens unless you win a big prize and I have won quite a few and only been asked for publicity once. I think if you won a decent prize and then were asked if you would do publicity in return not many of us would turn that down.

And if you're sniffing at less than £100 then although I wish you the best of luck, I don't understand why you came up with such an arbitary figure? I think most people watching the comp would be happy whether it be £10, £50, £100 or any amount?!?

As for tactics, there is none - put your name forward and hope and wait for it to come out. If you want to turn down £90 because it's less than £100, all the better for other MSE'ers who'd appreciate it IMO.
