I don't get whats wrong with the link being posted up to here surely it draws more traffic to the site and increases the community?
i have been on here a few times over the past couple of years but never registered, and im not trying to cause trouble its just a question cos i don't understand whats wrong with it.
oh yeah and sorry in advance for my bad spelling i have off days

I don't use any social networking sites, I joined MSE for money saving tips and to enter competitions but i've been looking at your threads and you all seem very obsessive about something that has been posted that leads people to this website - I find that very strange that you don't want other people to enter the same competitions as the rest of you????

No it's not that we don't want other people to enter the competition or join the forum, of course not. If you read back you'll see it's because people have been watching out for others here. The terms and conditions are ambiguous, but it's slightly iffy, and we don't want to draw undue attention to it, or it could have consequences for all of us.

Personally I'm not sure that magic aren't aware of this thread though anyway, but I'd still rather play it down if possible.

If you've been reading the threads you'll know that most people were actually concerned that Magic might decide that people sharing details here might not be in the spirit of the competition, and they might shut it down early.

It's not about dissuading people from entering comps.

You are all deluding yourselves if you think that Magic are not aware of this thread - of course they would be. Do you know the amount of research that they do on websites?
