I've only got teeny weeny list of names compared to your 80+!!!! I know Bunn has about 20+. You're both doing a fantastic job as it's quite a commitment!
How's the job hunting going? I've just been on the jobcentre website for my daily search, and there's been no new jobs all week - and out of the 7 in my town, I'm not in a position to be able to apply for any of themIt's so depressing. Hopefully the local paper (out today) will be more promising
thats where i have just been too! i sent off a letter to the post office, who need workers! lol!
try b&ms website they have a link on there for jobs , they will email you back asking which b&m you want to apply for and also ask for a cv which i havnt got!0 -

Are you a teacher then butterfly? My sister graduated last year (or was it the year before??? LOL!!) and she has struggled to find a permanent teaching position. She's done a terms maternity cover and is now doing supply. She's sent off countless applications.
I'm ex-army and there's not much call for morse code transcription and radio intercept here in North Devon right now!!!!! :rotfl:
Edit to add: Bunn I take it you mean (http://www.bmstores.co.uk/) b&m is a northern based business....none down here in Devon.:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -

but surely there are transferable skills with that! would have thought police work would have use for that kind of thing as well.
i only qualified in july and have had, i think, 7 interviews in total out of countless applications. i fall apart in interviews and the more i do the worse i get since it sticks with you that youve done so manyA big thank you to all those who post on the forum and make it a worthwhile place!!!:j0 -

The trouble is I'm a single mum. I only have childcare available for DD (age 10). DS is just 13 and too old for all the local childcare facilities - but not old (mature) enough to be on his own during school holidays (he'd 'cope' with a couple hours after school during term time though). I also don't have a car (but I can drive) so I'm limited to local areas (or ones commutable by bus)! Talk about needle in a haystack!!!
I'm enrolled on a course next month "Want to start a new enterprise"....I'd love to run my own business - the trouble is I have no idea what type of business though! :rotfl:Being my own boss would be the perfect situation for me.

Best of luck in finding a position - it's probably going to be a case of who you know and not what you know. My sister has found that supply work has presented opportunities for her (it certainly got her the terms maternity cover).:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -
thanks for the luck im optimistic something will happen as long as keep trying it has to in time!
i think alot more could be done to help people like you the fact child care can cost alot is awful as well, really is a vicious cycle. Places could do more for the older children as well. I think starting up your own buisness could work very well and i wish you the best of luck with it and hope you have a brain wave soon, im sure theres many on here who are bound to have useful advice with that sort of thingA big thank you to all those who post on the forum and make it a worthwhile place!!!:j0
