ppi success -i've got it back!

hi all,
I've this week achieved a double refund on ppi for a loan which part paid off the previous one-
total £3600!! refund.incl penalty 8%

to do this DO NOT GIVE UP- I've taken 9 months and did nOT accept first offer from the Bank.
I used the Fin OM service- they were the best!- ever letter to them was acknowledge in writing on receipt/every promise met..

And I used letters from this site/advice.

Am now with the ombudsman on bank charges/misselling of product.

Did you know at Barclaycard only 1 yes 1 member of staff is able to calculate the refund due according to Ombudsman rulings!? Thats why there is a delay.

  • thanks for the welcome.
if you need to calculate the 8% figure use Martins Bank charges calculator and put in the amount of each ppi payment(incl int charge) and date payment was made.
Also do not be afriad of talking to the ombudsman- the phone call is really nice to nice people- simple questions and then a form arrives in post to sign and fill in any gaps- plus of course send copies of any documents to help case such as corresponadance/agreements with bank/insurer.
Remeber you must ask bank/insurr for money first and give them 8 weks to pay up or if they dont/just delay with excuses then go to the ombudsman.
