problems with acer laptop

i was wondering if anyone can help ,i have an acer 5155 laptop and whenever i try to close a window internet explorer closes down as well ,
it's a major pain in the a*s it means i am losing any work that i have been doing .
can anyone shed some light on this for me pleeeease before i throw the the computer at the wall .

Do you mean Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer? In either case it's more likely to be operating system/software-related than anything to do with your laptop itself.

it says windows internet explorer has stop working and then shuts off it restarts itself again but you then lose any work .can it be easily fixed ? if so how ? thanks

easiest way to fix it would be to backup all your files and restore the laptop to its factory settings theres normally a DVD or a file on the hard drive to do this, instructions come with the laptop or via there support phone line
