Thursday 24th Sept - What small DFW things have you done today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Booooo I just typed out a lovely post, full of smilies, but hit backspace and it disappeared...
Anyway I had a great day yesterday at Uni, people were nice and we had lunch put on:rolleyes: The work all looks rather daunting right now, and plenty of it....but I'm sure it'll all befine! Quite relaxed about it now.....that'll change though I'm sure:rolleyes:
The Crohn's has decided to appear again today though - have a right pain in my side where the sore bit is...I must chase up the hospital, yet again:mad: So, painkillers taken, steroids agian too...hopefully it'll calm down later:o
Right, list for today:

Afternoon all,
Milly, sorry to hear about your sore bit and good luck chasing up the hospital. Great news that uni went well though - I'm sure you'll get into the swing of studying before too long.
Miss P - that's a genius idea, I should invite my mum over
My list for today is:- NSD

- Freezer dinner (think this may be fish and chips)

HI guys - glad uni went well Milly - sorry you aren't well enough to enjoy it though.
Today I
1) Went to work, just for five hours.
2) Packed lunch
3)Online surveys
4) Chased up pigsback for points and toluna for a voucher.
5) Did a minishop in Tesco. Bought T a couple of T shirts, and one was scanned twice so they gave it to me free by way of an apology!:j
6) Checked bank, quidco etc
7) Bought half price pizza express pizzas for tea as a yummy treat. It will help cheer up T and OH who are both under the weather.
I was also v naughty and bought a pair of Quiksilver baseball boots, for £12 in TK Maxx. They are so pretty with green hearts all over them. In my defence my old Converse ones have holes in and I live in them so I actually feel like I am saving money.
Off to look at my boots, and watch a DVD with the little patient.
Night all,

It is a bit quiet on this thread today, isn't it - so I thought I would resurrect it :j
I managed to get to the post office to pay in rent money (I can pay in money to my bank account via the post office):j
So I don't have an overdrawn bank account and a pile of cash in my handbag any more
Just about to do supper - s&s pork from freezer, with noodles and mangetout.
Put a load of washing in as I need smart dress for Saturday and I had to wear it to work today
(Guilty expression)
one of the dresses I ordered from Ethical Superstore came today, and I really like it, so will keep - not MS, but I do need to be tidy for work most days in this job.
I fear I am going to just collapse in a heap for the rest of the evening :rotfl:0 -
Yes the thread is quiet today, was just thinking that myself.
I am going to SHOUT !!! (Dont know how to get the font bigger)0 -
Evening all,
Today I have:
been to work and worked very hard

paid in wages
had a sandwich I took to work for lunch
for dinner boyfriend took me to Wetherspoons
Had a tiny shop for £3 in TescoNo you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0
