Tracking down an HP hard drive

My HP Compaq 6715b laptop is telling me that it needs a new hard drive, but trying to find one of these through an HP website has left me screaming with rage! User friendly the website ain't.
Can anybody help? I keep being asked for a part number, but don't know what it is and the laptop is dead so I can't ask it.
Any links to the appropriate part would be most appreciated.

Any 2.5" drive from any supplier would do, you just need to know if it's sata or pata, take the disk out and have a look, probably sata if it's newish!!

here is a link to the service guide http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01570696/c01570696.pdf , the part number of hard drive (SATA) depends on capacity required. 80/100/or 120 Gigabytes0
