IPods/ITunes

 Help! My computer is used by my 18 year old son(bad idea I know) he uses it mainly for his I Pod downloading music etc. At present my PC is running really slowly, I wondered if his music in the I tunes could be causing this, he has a LOT. But.......he refuses to remove any of it as he says the next time he connects his I pod it will automatically remove the songs from his I pod to correspond with what I have removed from my pc. HELP! He has assured me that I don't know what I am talking about  he could be right there....any opinions advice would be gratefully received! He is not in a position at present to buy his own PC:wall:
I am not very tecchie minded (you can probably tell!) but things are getting very fraut!

    Brace yourself.........
It might not be anything to do with 'Music'. It is possible that you might have spyware or a virus running on your PC slowing it down.
Do you have anti-virus s/w and a firewall???

Worth downloading ad-aware software remover from lavasoft and running it to remove any spyware that might be present.

While I know little about PC's (we're a Mac household) I doubt that music, in and of itself, is slowing down your system. While they're sitting there, they are simply files. Of course, if you have a lot of ANY files and not much disc space you may encounter problems. What is your disc storage situation?
