  • Hi,
Rang MBNA today and asked them many questions and ive actually had 3 loans with them over the last 10 years. So ive sent 3 seperate letter off today, fingures crossed.

Im now looking at my credit cards, ive had loads over the last 6 years. Can anyone point me in the right direction on this forum for the address for credit card companys, as im going around in circles looking for them.

Also, can anybody advise of the following: When i took my mortagage out 3 years ago, I was advised that I had to take out life insurance, + 2 other insurances to get my mortgage by the mortgage advisor. I have actually now canceled them approx 8 months ago but was wondering if this was a similar thing and could I try and claim anything further.

    Kind Regards

    Hi All,

Just a note to keep you all informed and for a bit more advise, please. Thank you so far.

I sent my three letters for PPI mis sold claims on three seperate loans (1998 - 3k, 2004 - 6k both payed in full and 2006 -22k one year remaining) with MBNA Loans on 17th September, 2009.

I than recieved one letter back from MBNA dated 29th September referencing all three claims, saying they are investigating and will issue a reponse within 28 days.

I have today recieved a letter from MBNA dated 23rd October, 2009 but only referencing two loans (2004 and 1998) and not mentioning the 2006 loan saying the following:
"please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to you; however, our investigations are taking longer than anticipated. We will issue a response by 20/11/09."

Any idea's what I should do regarding the 2006 loan which is now not referenced on this latest letter?
Also I make there 8 weeks up on the 12th November, 2009. Are these letters standard, Im really lost what to do next?
    Please Help.

    Kind Regards

    Hi All,
Hi hun, hope your well and sorry for not getting back to you earlier.

    Not a problem.;)

    Good one.

I than recieved one letter back from MBNA dated 29th September referencing all three claims, saying they are investigating and will issue a reponse within 28 days.Maybe one of their standard procedures, not too sure as they all vary from one bank to another.

You could either give them a quick ring to find out what is happening about the 3rd complaint, or put it into writing, and keep the copy in case you need to refer to them at a later date, or in case you want to take your complaints to the FOS if for example they did not go in your favour.

Any idea's what I should do regarding the 2006 loan which is now not referenced on this latest letter?

As above I suggest that you contact them to find out about the 2006 loan, as they have not clarified anything on this.
They may be standard letters, I am not certain from this bank but like all complaints if you hear nothing at all by the time 8 weeks have passed, you can continue to take your complaints to the FOS.

    Kind Regards
Hope this helps for now hun, as soon as you hear let us know and we shall take it from there, and again if you hear nothing by the dealine let us know, good luck with this.

    Morning Di,

Ive just rang MBNA re: the 3rd loan, the adviser said that it was a mistake on there part, I have requested that they resend the letter referencing all 3 loans and looked forward to there early response and outcomes of there investigation. To which he replied we have 56 days to respnd.

I'll keep you updated, keep your fingures in fact everything crossed.

    Kind Regards
