NHS eye test - mistake
Comments

I had this at specsavers (had the eye test there too), contacted the optician she said give it a week if it still feels wrong then come back and I'll redo it for nothing.
Within a few days I was fine, but my eyes had adapted themselves to seeing through the old (wrong) prescription and they needed to readjust0 -
I think I was walking like I was drunk! It's good to know it's normal though.
I had this feeling of being drunk after I picked up new specs from Specsavers I went and complained and when they checked the lenses they had been incorrectly made and the 'balance' of the lens was out, (whatever that means).
I had to have new lenses made at their expense.
Might be worth checking this out

Thanks everyone, it's settled down loads now though, it's only a problem now when I first stand up and start walking, so it's just my eyes needing a bit of time to get used to seeing properly! So I was just panicking about nothing.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

i have had a similar problem with my new glasses from rayners opticians. i'm long sighted, and only had a slight prescription change, but after a week, they were still causing me headaches, and nausea, the worse thing with mine was judging the width of the car wen parking. after a week, they are no better, so i'm off back tommorrow to see what they say.
i would pay anything for decent eyesightenjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)0 -
I've never had problems getting my eye test annually with an NHS voucher for changed prescription where appropriate.0
