Amex Platinum Cashback Credit Card

Hello


Is the Amex cashback cc the best at the moment. it says on mrtis email that you can get 5% cashback.

We will be making a larhe purchase very soon of about 8k for a new kitchen. so want the best cc.

We currently have a Cap 1 card and spend about 2k on it a month, we pay it back in full each month.

Anyone have any advice re the Amex card or the best one to choose?

I think the 5% only applies to the first £2000 now - ie a maximum of £100 cash back at the high 5% introductory rate. Don't know if you could do better elsewhere.

Its a good card though, I have made almost £400 back in my first year.

I agree, it is a good card and gets accepted about 80% of the time.
