Printer inks?

Hello, a little while ago Poppycat posted a link to show how to check which of the inks were running low in my R200 unfortunately I don't seem to be able to get to grips with it this time Could anyone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Hi Carmen, If you look in the bottom right corner of the screen in the light blue box next to where the clock is, you should see a little picture of a printer, move your mouse over it and it should say something like EPSON stylus R200 series, double left click your mouse button and the status monitor will appear (make sure your printer is switched on!) and show you pictures of the ink tanks.

Thank you Dave, for some reason the printer icon only shows when I start to print, something else I have done wrong , no doubt!

It sounds like you have the drivers installed but not the status monitor program.

There should be a program called status monitor on the disc that came with the printer or you can download it from the Epson website.

Monterey is correct I would say,allthough my printer used to work that way even thopugh the moniter software was installed.
If the status software is installed you should find it via start>programes> and should be listed under epson.
Anyway this link as been posted many times before but I use this now as it is far better.
