please help me move my itunes library

can some please help me out, i moved my itunes library from my c drive to d drive connected up and changed the settings on itunes to tell it where the library was, it said my ipod was attached to another library and wouldbt connect to it. so moved it back and then lost some music!
can i move my library and how?

Best way to do it is to change the default location of where iTunes stores the music and then go to "consolidate library."Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0
