what shall I do about BM dress?

My daughter is my only bridesmaid, she is 12 and has fallen in love with this as her dress...
http://www.janenorman.co.uk/fcp/product/buy-fashion-look-fabulous/dresses/satin-chain-stitch-bandeau-prom-dress/7073?colour=black

It would work well with our colour scheme and she has tried it on (about 6 times now :rotfl:) And she looks fab in it!

BUT.... She will grow some more in a year (probably!!) She fits a size 12 really well and currently 5'5" and 9 stone so its difficult to tell how much she will grow. So do I just say 'no' to soon to buy knowing that Jane Norman swap their stock and once its gone its gone, buy one on the grounds she may lose a bit of her puppy fat (which seems to be happening) or get a 14 to take in nearer the time??? As its 'only' £45, do I risk it???
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:

I personally would not risk it. I have a daughter who is almost 15 and in the past year alone has gone from wearing new look age 12-13yrs to womens 8/10. Her chest and bum have really filled out, going from a 32b in March to a 32/34D now. Unless you have events she could wear it to inbetween i dont think i would take the chance.

Alternatively i would wait and see if its available cheaper in the end of season sale so you would not loose out too much. HTH.

Her height has gone up gradually but she wont get much taller as me and her bio dad arent too tall, though her feet are now bigger than mine and her bust is much bigger than before i put on weight.

I'd say trust you own judgement , only you know how mature your daughter look at 12 and they can vary a lot at that age , some still look like little girls and others look like teenagers - obviously the ones that look like little girls are likely to change shape drastically in a year however the more mature looking 12 year olds may not . as your daughter is already in adults sizes i would say she has probably developed quiet a lot already and take the chance

My daughter was bridesmaid for my sister at the age of 13 , her dress was bought 9 months ahead of the wedding and despite her growing rather a lot the dress still fitted .
    I am journeying to a debt-free life.

    I have that dress.
I am a BIG jane norman fan, i buy most of my clothes from there.
I usually buy when things get reduced every few months. I occasionally buy something full price as i must have it now, then i always feel rubbish when i see it reduced later.

Jane norman clothing isnt very forgiving.
If it fits perfect now, the slightest increase/decrease in size will mean the dress wont fit right at all.

I am a size 8 in jane norman clothing but i had to buy a 10 in this dress just for my boobs to feel comfy. And my boobs arent overly massive 32C.

1 year is a long time especially with a growing teenager, its not the same as a normal bridesmaid dress where you can have it altered.

However if you do buy it and in a year it doesnt fit, you will make most of your money back on ebay if you re-sell it (which is what i do).

But i will say that this is a design / style of dress that jane norman use a lot and i have seen it in several colours over the last few years.

look at jane norman dresses on ebay and you'll see the design repeating itself.

    That dress is gorgeous Franny!!

My daughter is 11 now but will be 12 when we get married.

She's shot up in height, the boobs are growing and she's got her hips so has gone into women's sizes.

Unless........you get the dress now, and if she grows, bang it on eBay and recoup some of the money to buy another dress??

I was going to get my daughters when we get back from holiday at the beginning of August, but knowing my luck, when we go to look, there will be sod all there lol!

    Decisions, decisions lol

Jane Norman always repeat dresses with similar colours/designs, so chances are that you'll buy able to buy a very similar dress nearer the time of the wedding that will be guaranteed to fit your daughter.

I bought a Jane Norman dress 6 years ago and the design is still brought out again every single summer. Means i can still get away with wearing it haha very MSE of me!
