Best Balance transfer cards for people with a poor credit rating. help please??

Hi there,

My problem is that I want to transfer the balance from my existing credit card to a 0% interest balance transfer credit card if possible. However, every company that I have tried so far has turned me down due to my credit score.
My aim is to pay the balance on my credit card off, but if I can't transfer it I don't stand a chance.
Can anyone help me please?
Would be greatly appreciated.
Thanku.

Admittedly, the best balance transfer deals are usually reserved for new customers, but you don't have to apply for a new card to get new credit. You may be able to cut costs using the credit card(s) you already hold. For details, see Martin's *Credit Card Shuffle* article ;)

To help you further, we would need to know which credit card(s) you have at the mo or have held recently. Also, which cards you've applied for unsuccessfully.

Hi I hope this is posted on the correct forum, I would like some advice if poss
Last week I applied for an Ikea home card, after submitting the online application it came back with this....
Thank you for your Ikea Home Card application.

It appears that we have already processed an application for you in the past. Therefore we cannot proceed with this particular request for an Ikea Home Card at this time.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0844 856 5744.

With my credit being in the experian "fair" category I saw no reason why I would of been declined, so I called the above number only to be told that they could not find me on their systemand to call back next week which I did today (a week later), the lady checked again and I was again nowhere to be found on their system and the lady advised me to try again as it may have been an error with their side, which I apprehensively did and again I got the same message as above, so I called back and explained the situation to a different man who spoke to his manager and they searched my surname throughout the whole database and nothing that would of been me for my address now or in a past application over 2 years ago, I also checked my experian and no searches have been made for last week or today so I am at a total loss, Has anyone else had this problem as I am concerned just a little.
    Thanks.
Just to add, when Ikea decline you, they send you a letter in the mail and still have you on their system, so Im still at a loss!
