Morning all
been up since 6.45 too but just grumpily idling on the net and CBeebies... OH getting her lie-in but I resent it this morning, have had to change 3 diarrhea nappies so far today including a hideous leaky item first thing. It's just typical that as soon as Elijah starts mostly sleeping through the night, something else comes up - our neighbours' boiler has some sort of problem which means the pipes hum/whine for anything from 30 secs to 5 mins, at random, throughout the day and night
It is becoming really infuriating - council had heating engineers out on Friday supposedly, don't know if they're doing anything but nothing has changed so far anyway. We're being woken up 3 or 4 times a night by it, totally randomly. At least the noise is at the back of the house, not the front where Elijah sleeps. I suppose I should go knock on their door in a bit and ask what the engineers said... sigh.
I've had to interrupt this post twice - once to make a wild leap and catch Elijah as he tried to slide headfirst off the sofa onto the wooden floor, and a second time to extricate him from the fridge. More safety-lock shopping in my immediate future.
So as I do 90% of the cooking and 95% of the shopping, I need to work out how to change our collective diet to be healthier and support OH's aims of losing weight, while still being food we're both willing to eat, and substantial enough. We need to sort her portion control (she eats as much as me at the moment and I am 6'5", she's 5'7") mainly I guess, but beyond that, anyone have a good link to or recommendations of a list of home-cooking main meals which are healthy/low-calorie, that I can think about shopping for? We're not that terrible now, but can definitely improve and will be good for me to as well I am sure.
Grumble. Hope most people slept well, I know that feeling Wizadora, so typical!
Oh, no tattoo interest in this house0 -
Morning all
I have been up since 7.30 but have been too lazy to walk across the room to pick up the lappy !!
Had a relatively good nights sleep, although I only got to sleep after 2, so a bit too short for my liking !!
No plans for today other than a quick trip to B & Q and relaxing !! Well maybe clean the bathroom and downstairs loo, but that will be it
Hope everyone is goodThe two best things I have done with my life

Morning
Tattoos - I have two little ones that i got done when i was younger, there in places that are always covered up though. I do like tattoos but small discreet ones not like the ones some women have right down their arms, that just dosn't look right. My sister has one across the bottom of her back and i do think the design is nice, but i just think the ones across the back are a bit too common (but of course i won't tell her that!)
I'm tired today, we went to Blackpool yesterday for a day out and to see the lights so ddin't get back till gone midnight. Can't believe how expensive the Pleasure Beach is now, its £5 just to get through the gates and then £6.50 a ride on top of that  so we didn't bother and went on the piers instead! Jake had a great time and is now driving me mad with his light up sword, as you can imagine its a great game to hit mummy with the sword
Sami - Hope u had a nice holiday?

Do you like them more than a cosi toes?
I'm finding the whole shoe thing a bit fiddlyBooo nasty bosses!! big hugs for Weezl - I thought of you when I met a piggy called Weasal (and took a picture of the sign with it on)
I would like to see a piccie of my porcine namesakeDid anyone watch Britain's Biggest Babies earlier tonight?OH now vowing to diet savagely the next couple of months before TTC, but we both know how weak her willpower is when presented with temptations and I am not sure how supportive to be (in the "enforcing" sense of 'Do you really need a dessert?' !)
I might be being a bit daft here Bruno, but I didn't think maternal weight gain was a factor in fetal size, unless both things were caused by underlying gestational diabetes?

Sami, welcome back I missed you a lotskintchick wrote: »ANd I have a question: why are the baby sleeping bags so massive? Is there a reason they have so much leg room for such small babies or is my lady a total shortarse?
We had the mothercare 0-6 months and were very glad of the extra leg room, cos he can still wear them now at 7.5 months. But fairies have brought replacements readyWhere is weezl today anyway? Having a RL? How very dare you
I have been having lots of real life :D
a summary:
Two new front teeth, one totally erupted one pressing on the gum, visible but not come through yet.
Bit of a cold with temperature here last nightprobably the worst night's sleep ever for fergie who couldn't breathe lying down!
Our house guests who have come so she can run the half marathon today have a 13 month old and a 3.5 yr old. 13 month had really horrid hacking cough and couldn't breathe either.
Apart from those things it has been fabreally nice to catch up with the house guests and Fergus loves being with older boys.
DH and I are wondering what to do with ourselves because we'd like to use the car but we live on the marathon route!
I'll carry on catching up now

The scrunchie bit is recycled carrier bag!
I forgot to enclose a note, but the cube is made from: fire retardant foam, 100% cotton blanket and some carrier bag. The best way to clean would be to hand wash, wring out and put carrier bag side down on a radiator. Machine wash will kill the fire-retardancy

Aw weezl - hugs for snuffly babies. Liam slept remarkably well last night, despite his snuffles and suspect teeth. He did 8-7 :j
Tattoos - I couldn't have one done cos I know I would change my mind about if after a while and end up hating it. OH has a band round his arm and would like another one. I have rules though, has be able to cover then up, not personal so no name etc and no football related stuff. I wouldn't mind him having Liam's name, discreetly, somewhere but I would never allow him to have my name done. OH cousin had a former girlfriends name in rather large letters down the inside of his forearm, needless to say they split up not long after. His current girlfriend has made him get a cover up but it's awful.
Oh Liam has fallen asleep on his mat watching a re-run of the Moto GP0 -
