  • I thought of a question (anyone shocked?!!) - What ages are babies meant to have checks? I know they have a 6/7 weeek check, but then what happens after that? I thought there was a 9 month one, or maybe an 8 month one, have I got it wrong? I've not heard anything from the surgery. I suppose I should call them and ask really, but they're not open and I will forget in the morning!

In my area we have 8m and 2 year checks by the HV at home. But Jamie's was at 7m and Poppy's at 23m as the area office was 'up to date'.

Jamie met all milestones except 'babbling' as he was not at that point saying clear words such as 'mama, dada, baba'. She called back in a month for an update and of course he now never shuts up! :rotfl:

Poppy met all her 2 year milestones 'with ease' but it felt as though I was sitting an exam! :rotfl:

carla musicmagpie is meant to be good, you type in the barcode off the back and it tells you how much they'll give you for it, then they send you the envelopes. easier then ebay :)

i really really hate how full these forums are with condescending, pompous, self righteous people! i'm so glad we havent got anyone like that in this thread :)
you are all lovely people :A

:hello: SB :) Are they really supposed to say clear words by eight months?! Crikey.. :o Rhys makes a sound which sounds like "Hi-yaaaaa" cos I'm guilty of spending most of my day going "Hiya Rhysy!".. oops!
