I knew I had something child related to ask...
...my poor baby has a really, really sore bum crack
I mean really sore, it is bleeding
It is not his actual bum hole or cheeks (sorry TMI) but where his crack goes up his back.
It has always been very red there but I just kinda thought that that was just what his crack is like and didn't worry.
I have smothered him in sudocrem but is there anything else I should be doing? I have a sample of bepanthen somewhere if that would be better?
On the plus side, Benjamin doesn't seem to care, it doesn't bother him when I clean it or touch it or put cream on it....so it could be much worse.
I cried when I saw it
Thoughts would be appreciated.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Morhulin all the way, seconded and thirded by other people here, tesco pharmacy sell it behind counter. Slap it on and its great stuff. Works quickly overnight. Try not to worry too much if he not fussed by it, also lots of airing too helps but i know you know that already.0

MFD, I would stick with sudocrem. Its really good for breaks in skin. It happens due to moisture not being dried fully, a bit like between your toes ?? IYKWIM
Put a wee bit of talc on that one bit after you have changed a wet nappy, and keep applying the cream to it and it should clear up fairly quicklyThe two best things I have done with my life

Bruno do you costco? the kirkland coffe is starbucks house blend
Hmmm I don't but even if I did it wouldn't really fix my morning office cravings! Also it's the latte aspect as much as the blend, I guess. I combined my childhood milk consumption with my adult coffee need...

It really is pretty good, free coffee, tea, hot choc, herbal stuff.... both vending machine and Nescafe instant. I tend to Starbucks at the start of the day then free coffee after lunchI am bad!

Aggh  hugs for poor Benjamin and traumatised mummy! I would guess, Sudocrem, lots of airing, and very gentle treatment of the area? If Benjamin isn't upset you know it can't be really bad so don't be too upset!0 -
I'd also say sudocrem and a good airing.......but I imagine a good airing can be quite messy with a little man!:beer:0
