    Can you see your wireless adapter? It may say 802.11b/g etc. You may also need to switch in on using either a manual switch/button or a combination of keys e.g. Fn + F11 etc.

    i can see "other devices" then selected under it with a yellow ? mark and one of these! over the ? mark it says:"RTL8187B_WLAN_Adaptor" but i don't see wireless adaptor
  • It'd be easier to connect the cable to your laptop to give you internet access and then going to Windows Update, as that should find all of the device drivers that you need and install them.

    ta for that - so i just get onto windows update - select update and see what happens?

    The yellow mark means that the drivers need to be loaded. They seem to be available here to download.

    ok i've inserted a cable an am on the internet i'm om windows update and it's doing a search so i'll see what happens

    expresso i'll update the drivers next

    ta peeps for the help as this is a new op system installed no doubt i'll be back at some stage

    You can download the required driver for your wireless adaptor from that site. On the Win2K and WinXP driver line, click on the last GO, follow the steps and download it to a folder on your machine. You can then use this to install the driver necessary to get your WiFi card working.
