    Hi,

I'm not entirely sure what you mean....if you let me know an example of what items A & B are, ill let you know where you would stand!

    Erm, ok.

I sell pen refills. Pen refills ONLY fit parker pens. Buyer purchases as he wants a refill for his mont blanc pen and ignores clear advice on listing to check mont blanc website to see if refill is compatible.

Buyer goes ahead and purchases. Buyer realises refill does not fit his mont blanc pen as all he read was pen refill. he wants to return and postage refund too.

listing saying no postage costs returned for buyer error.

If you're talking about Ebay, there's a difference between auction and fixed price.
If it is auction you can turn down a return request. If it is fixed price and the buyer returns within 7 days (Ebay actually allow 14) and it is in the same condition as you sent it then you have to refund under distance selling regulations. As far as I know under these circumstances you don't have to pay the return postage, but you would have to refund the initial postage. If the buyer went to Paypal under these circumstances they would refund the full amount.
