Fairview Homes Sale Offer

Hi
I am currently considering legal proceedings against Fairview Homes for offering me a deal to purchase an apartment providing i rented it from them for a year, and now they are denying all knowledge of the deal and informing me that they have sold the flat to someone else.
I have been reliabley informed that i am not the only person this has happened to so is there anyone out there who has had similar issues with this developer and is prepared to share their problems to help build a case?
