ebay security email help please

just received this email today can anyone make any sense of it.is it just a very ignorant way of them telling me to update my details?nothing has changed and ive been a registered user for years??

For the User Agreement, Section 9,

suspend or terminate your membership and refuse to provide our
services to you if we believe that your actions may cause financial
loss or legal liability for you, our users or us. We may also
take these actions if we are unable to verify or authenticate
any information you provide to us.


We inform you that your eBaY account could be suspended
if you don't re-update your account information. To resolve this
problems please use the link below and re-enter your account information.
If your problems could not be resolved your account will be suspended
for a period of 24 hours, after this period your account will
be terminated.

    i was thinking the same but it seems to take me to what looks like ebay logging page or maybe im just being naive.how can i tell if its genuine?

    It it's real it should be in your message centre in your ebay account.

    Change your password now to be on the safe side, then log into your e-Bay account as normal and check everything is as it should be.

    Also note the grammatical failings in the text. Ebay has its problems, but their emails are normally grammatical.

    We inform you (tense) that your eBaY account could be suspended
    if you don't re-update (i don't think this is a word) your account information. To resolve this problems (these problems OR this problem) please use the link below and re-enter your account information.
    If your problems could (can) not be resolved your account will be suspended
    for a period of 24 hours, after this period your account will
    be terminated.
