The current National average actual clearance target for Income Support (the time they hope to process your claim by) is 11 working days from the reciept of your claim.. The district AACT's are updated monthly.

The delay indicator for Income Support (the time limit they must process your claim by before you can apply for "consolitary payment" for time delay) is currently 2 months.

I know this sounds like a daft question, but you are calling the right number?? It's the Job Centre Plus you need - they will ask for your postcode and will give you another number to call the correct department that deals with your area.

OHHH MY GOD...i finally got thorugh!!! after 2 days on a 0845 number on a mobile that going to cost a fortune!!!!! they said my claim has been processd 2 days ago! money was put in my account and should be cleared tomorrow..woooooooooooo

After all this time of stressing totally forgot to ask them if i get paid weekly or fortnightly lol never mind at least got it sorted spose it will say all that in letter

You may get lucky and get it weekly, depending on your NI, sadly mine is at the beginning of the alphabet so I get IS fortnightly now.
