Hello all,
what is best Full Settlement % amount that any of you have been offered on a Debt between £8000 to £12000 ??
Have any of you ever been offered better than 50% ?? Say for instance have you ever been offered the chance to pay 25% or 30% of the amount & have the debt fully settled/cleared by doing so??
Cheers

I have been offered a settlement figure of £748 on a debt of £3120 and also £2000 against a debt of £6700. In the latter case, they also offered to let me pay in 3 equal installments. I couldn't accept because I am under a dmp with CCCS, but as soon as I have saved enough to offere each of my creditors a FF settlement, I will be offering 25%.0

I was about to mention your F&F as I remember it was about 16-18%.
Sounds good, but I don't envy the amount of hassle and trouble you had to go through before they would go to that figure. :undecidedFree/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Under CCS DMP rules every penny has to be divided equally between all of my creditors (6 in total). If I have £x spare to give to creditors, it cannot be used to pay off one debt. I have been paying £10 per month to each creditor for the past 3 years and I guess having bought the original debt from the respective banks for a fraction of the true value and getting peanuts each month in repayment, they are keen to bring it to an end. I have started to receive similar offers at frequent intervals - 2/3 times a year. I am expecting a payout of £7k early next year. I plan to contact the creditors, explaining that I might be able to raise 7k (it's roughly 30% of the total outstanding debt) and offer this to the creditors in F & F- conditional on them all accepting. I have already spoken to 2 creditors about this and they have agreed in principle - although I realise that they might change their minds when the time comes.0 -
