I actually didnt read the whole of your post OP because of the capitals. A probation period is there to determine if you have the capabilities of doing the job in hand, the company have decided that you are not of the required standard, however, they feel that you would be best suited to a lower grade job so that you can work your way up to the required standard and can perhaps apply for the post again. You are lucky that the company has given you an option most don't thus leaving you jobless.

Rather than quitting..I would have the good grace to accept the lower paid job (yes it is less but you will also pay less tax), work hard and ask for training - even highlight training courses that would be beneficial to you and to them and be a bit more proactive.

Your employer hasn't bullied you - they have acknowledged that you lack confidence and this is demonstrated by your inability to do the job that you have been employed to do, just think if they didnt acknowledge the problem and you had been confirmed to post...further down the line you would have gone off sick with stress, this way they are saying "this is a great person who works well in our company but there are some confidence issues and doesnt have the level of supervisory experience we need, let's keep this person and let them grow in confidence and then maybe in the future we will have someone whom we can give more responsiblity to".

I know you are angry right now but think of it as a positive rather than a negative - a negative could see you signing on at the Jobcentre. A positive - you still have a job just not the job you are currently working in.

. . . . THE COMPANY IS VERY CLICKY AS MY MANAGER HAS A SON IN THE SAME ROLL AS ME,WHO KEPT HIS JOB,BUT DOESNT PULL HIS WEIGHT,IVE LEARNT HIS MISTAKES AND CORRECTED THEM ETC.
    /QUOTE]

    Here's a lesson -

If someone at the same level as you is the son of your manager, be careful.

I don't understand what you did. Did you see some errors made by the other supervisor (the son) and go about correcting those mistakes or did you correct the other supervisor, pointing out the error of his ways?

If the former, you could be seen as interfering. If the latter, then it wasn't your role (note spelling) to do that: your job would be to ensure that the people for whom you were responsible were doing things properly.

OP - don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Brushing up on your literacy and communication skills might assist your development in a new role.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
