Hello, I've got a male/male VGA adaptor. The trapezium inverts from one side to the other, or turns upside down. This to me would mean that the connections through each pin swaps top to bottom and bottom to top.
So is there a male/male adaptor where the trapezium is the same both sides?

There are VGA to SCART lead available on amazon and ebay and probably many other sources

I'm not sure how the trapezium matters, unless you're trying to connect male/male or female/female.
