Can anyone help?
I have an 8mm camcorder, and am looking to digitise my tapes. Does anyone know how this is possible?

You'll need a video capture card to do that. Some fit internally and others are USB. None will give super-duper quality as the source material won't be top notch so you may as well look at the low end ones unless you have some other use in mind.0

If you don't want to do any editing then just use a stand alone DVD recorder. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

The other option is if you're planning on getting a digital camcorder anytime soon, get one with an analog input, then you can capture the analog tape into the PC through this.
Best option is probably the standalone DVD recorder one though, copy them onto DVD then rip the DVD's on the PC.Out on blue six..
It's Chips and Jackets, Peas and Trousers.0 -
Except that buying a DVD recorder will cost about 5-10 times more than a cheapo USB capture device....0
