Thank you so much!
We bought ours in B & Q about 3 years ago as a pot plant like you and just planted it outside to see what happens and it's huge I would say about 8 ft too and this is the first time I have seen a flower coming on it, I am so pleased with it, we live by the sea too they must like it.
I am going to search for a flowering pic of one on the net now0 -
So was I right? :T :T :T :T
They like being in direct sunlight apparantly (my 11 year old DD just told me who knows everything there is to know about gardening) and like the sea air because of the sand as they are more used to growing in hot countries and deserts.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -
All three of ours flower - quite a heady scent. The only thing is that the entire mini-buggy-fly population of the south coast obviously find it irresistible so that they end up black with the blasted things! The flowers eventually form one sort of large pod thing which dries out and eventually falls off with a resounding thump into the front garden...just thought you'd like to know!0

I wondered what on earth it was growing out of it!!
It's right by the bedrrom window so I hope the bugs stay away0 -
